Gym Team Success:

Congratulations to our Zone Gymnastics competitors who performed with poise, precision, passion and positivity.

Report from Mrs Hannard:

On Thursday, 18 August, eleven of our Y5/6 students attended the Interschool Gymnastics Tournament.  These students competed in Beam, Floor, and Bars routines as individuals. Every student who attended has now qualified for the Champion of Champions Championship, which will be held at Tri-Star on Thurs 15 September.

Trust me, this is no easy feat, and there has been a lot of practice in preparation. A huge thank you to Georgia, who coached the students for me this year.  Her expertise far outweighs mine, and it has been great for the students; who adore her.  I am extremely proud of all of them.  To see some students who do not attend formal gymnastics lessons gain a place in such a tough competition is amazing. I cannot wait to see them represent Western Heights in a few weeks.
