Music Tour - July 2019

The Music Department is excited to announce a prospective Music Tour to Sydney, in the July school holidays of 2019! Students from Chamber Choir, Concert Band and Chamber Orchestra will have the opportunity to perform during the Australian International Music Festival, in locations such as the Sydney Opera House, Darling Harbour and City Recital Hall, as well as visiting some of Sydney’s famous cultural and historical landmarks. An information night regarding the 2019 Music Tour will be held on Monday, 27 November, at 6:30pm in the GBLT. All parents and musicians who will be eligible for Chamber Choir, Concert Band and Chamber Orchestra in 2019 are invited to attend.

Student Spotlight

Congratulations to Aerin Chai (Year 9 Loreto) on the premier performance of her composition for String Orchestra, entitled Dark Forces. Aerin’s piece was recently performed by the West Australian Youth Orchestra’s Collegium Ensemble at the Perth Concert Hall!

Year 7 Recital Night

Please note that the Year 7 Recital Night will be held this coming Monday, 13 November 13 at 7:00pm in the GBLT. All guests are welcome to attend an evening of solo performances by a talented Year 7 cohort.
