Managing lockdown fatigue

The restrictions for those living and working in areas where the number of COVID cases are higher have caused psychological, physical, and emotional effects, including physical and mental exhaustion. This information sheet from the   Australian Psychological Society outlines what lockdown fatigue is, some of its causes, signs and symptoms, ideas to help you to manage it, and where to seek help if needed.

City of Kingston Biodiversity Blitz

Be part of Kingston's Biodiversity Blitz - September

September is Biodiversity month and Kingston has partnered with eight of our neighbouring councils to hold the Biodiversity Blitz 2021!  We are running a competition between the councils on who can record the most species of flora and fauna in their local area.

Simply head outdoors to snap photos of flora and fauna in Kingston and upload them to the Kingston iNaturalist page. You’ll need to create an account and be logged in to register your observations, which will automatically be added to the Biodiversity Blitz project.

Students will be contributing to community science and improving their species knowledge and appreciation. To help you and the students upload data, view the iNaturalist website Video Tutorials or this great video made by Yarra Ranges Shire.

The Blitz runs from Wednesday 1 September - Thursday 30 September 2021
