Grade Three Snapshot

Dear Parents,

Term Two has started at a fast pace with the students settling back into school and classroom routines and engaging in new units of learning.  This week the Grade 3 students participated in their first school cross country event at Dendy Park.  This event gave students the opportunity  to develop both their physical stamina and their growth mindset to compete confidently and to complete the course. All efforts are celebratory and each student felt a sense of achievement and accomplishment at the finish line.  We congratulate all students on their physical efforts and the fine spirit of sportsmanship and support which was shown by all participants. 

Fast approaching in the coming weeks is NAPLAN testing for Grade 3 students. Teachers have focused on preparing the students by giving them exposure to the question format and opportunity to complete practice tasks. We will also simulate the NAPLAN testing conditions with the timed completion of practice tests in both Numeracy and English. Follow up discussion will provide opportunities for any concerns or questions to be shared and answered.
