THIRSTY? CHOOSE WATER

Our school has been involved with the Local Health District in research and promotion of water as the preferred drink of choice, in a program called, Thirsty? Choose Water

We would like to thank the Local Health District for funding a chilled water station that has been installed at the school. The students are making good use of the water station and it is a step in the right direction when it comes to making healthier choices.

We would like to remind parents and carers to provide water or milk as the drinks of preference and to remind students to take their water bottle to school, as it can now be refilled with cold water.

Girls Cricket

On the 26/6/2019 Our Under 16's Girls traveled down to Nowra, to participate in Under 16's South Coast Girls Cricket Competition. The day was run by ‘Sydney Thunder,’ and was a modified version of a cricket match but in this casee everyone batted, fielded, bowled and the fields were a smaller size. It was a round robin event with the girls playing 4 games throughout the day. None of our girls had any cricket experience but were keen to give it a go, as our Illawarra Competition was postponed due to the weather but the girls were still desperate to play so we entered the Shoalhaven Competition. We won 2 of the 4 matches which was an excellent result, as we were short of players all day, and just missed out on the Grand Final, due to a 1-run loss in the Semi Final.

The girls played some excellent cricket, with some great catching by Brianna Ratcliff, excellent bowling by Asia Holland, and Courtney Riggs, Hannah Eszoeke and Brianna Ratliff, all hit multiple 4’s and 6’s when they batted.

I could not have been anymore proud of the girls,It was a  was a great day!

The only injury on the day was my ears due to some questionable song choices and karaoke singing on the bus on the way home.
