For this edition of the Taqwa Times I asked some or our year 5/6 students what they have learned this term at school.

Year 2/3 busy making posters to teach their peers about conserving energy.

For this edition of the Taqwa Times I asked some or our students what they have learned this term at school. Here are their responses.

I learned that a CO2 molecule is made out of 1 Carbon atom and 2 Oxygen atoms - Hamdan (Year 6)

I learned about how scientists worked hard to complete the coding for the new Mars Rover that is called Percy - AK (Year 6)

I learned not to discrimate against anybody with a disability - Wafi (Year 6)

I learned that if humans went to Mars they could only breath with oxygen tanks. People would need to find a large, smooth surface because Mars is very rocky. -Azaan (Year 5)

I learned that Mars has a lot of things in common with Earth. For Example, it has frozen water. - Maheen (Year 5)

I learned that people can be different and that is a good thing because the world would be boring if everything was the same. - Safia (Year 5)

I learned that a good strategy for calming down is to breathe and drink water. Mishqat (Year 4)

I learned that fossil fuels are made out of coal, oil and gas and that electicty is made from coal. It is bad because it can pollute and destroy environments. Amaar (Year 4)

I learned that energy comes from the sun, electricity comes from coal and coal is a fossil fuel. Aya (Year 3)

You save energy by turning off the light if you don't need it and turning off the heater and you can wear a jumper. Aairah (Year 3)

I have learned that Dreamtime stories are told by Aboriginals. They are the first people of Australia. Momin (Year 2)

I learned that we should not harm owls because in a story some boys hurt an owl and they got stuck in a flood. Only one boy and one girl were saved by a kangaroo. Yameen (Year 2)

I have learned that Aboriginal people tell dreamtime stories. I can remember a story about how the birds got thier colours. Aliya (year 1)

I learned that there are lots of Aboriginal countries in Australia. Kadijatu (Year 1)

I actually learned about Aboriginal weapons that were used for hunting fish or animals. Musa (Year 1)

I learned about Aboriginal people and they are very special because they have been here for a long, long time. Akifah (Kindy)
