Reminder to all parents to please notify the school on 5821 4322 (ext 2) whenever your student/s will be absent.  It is an Education Department requirement that schools clarify every student absence.

If we are not notified of your child's absence prior to the start of period 1 the student will be marked 'unexplained'. 

Parents of students who are marked 'unexplained' will receive an SMS message to their mobile phone after 10.30am. Please respond to the message via sms, Xuno, Flexibuzz, email at shepparton.hs@edumail.vic.gov.au,  or by ringing the school 5821 4322, to explain why your student is away.

Students who are late to school must sign in at the general office with a note on arrival, to ensure the 'unexplained' absence can be amended. This will avoid a message home.

Regular attendance is a crucial component of your child's education. Frequent absences or 'lates' accrue resulting in your child missing important class content and continuity.

Please schedule appointments outside of school hours - 9am - 3.15pm to maintain attendance percentage of 90% as mandated by the Department of Education.
