GRANGE PRIMARY SCHOOL – PARENT VOLUNTEERS FOR 2020

Our school welcomes and encourages parent volunteers to assist with our classes and students.  If you have some free time which you wish to give to the school in 2020 and would like to apply to become a parent volunteer, we will be seeking volunteers for next year.  Parent Volunteers can choose to assist in our school Canteen, Foundation classrooms assisting students with reading and learning activities, becoming actively involved in our sporting clubs after school or mentoring a student on our Learning Assisted Program.

We also have a very active Governing Council, which we seek applications for annually at the beginning of each academic year and parents are invited to join our sub-committees, which include Fund-Raising, Facilities, OSHC Advisory Committee, Education and Canteen.  Please contact me if you wish to receive more information on volunteering with any of the above.

In order to become a parent volunteer at Grange Primary School, the Department for Education require you to:

  • complete a volunteer application form that includes signing a declaration
  • complete the volunteer screening and suitability requirements – Working With Children Check – please visit https://screening.sa.gov.au
  • complete the Responding to Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care (RAN-EC) course for volunteers
  • complete the volunteer induction, including work health and safety
  • be given a role description
  • sign a volunteer agreement.

If you have any queries or require more information on any of the above, please do not hesitate to contact me.  If you wish to commence the Volunteer Application process, please e-mail me your contact details.

Kind regards,
