JUNIOR SWIMMING CARNIVAL

Congratulations to all the Year 7, 8 & 9 students for their behaviour and participation at the recent school swimming sports held at Oak Park pool. Once again this year we had all students competing in houses.

Special congratulations to the following students who were the top swimmers for 2017:

Year 7 Girls 1st Mia Araldi (Blue House), 2nd Jade Seymour (Green)   Boys 1st Callum Bendall (Green), =2nd Henry Thompson (Red) & Josh White (Red)

Year 8 Girls 1st Isobel Robertson (Green) 2nd Ciara Dann-South (Yellow); Boys 1st Jake Braybrook (Green),  2nd Josh Chamberlain (Blue)

Year 9 Girls 1st Molly Roberts (Red), 2nd Ella Wolfe (Yellow), Boys 1st Kingston Keen (Red), 2nd Sebastian Tran (Blue)

The overall final results were as follows:

1st Red 280 pts, 2nd Green 259, 3rd Blue 221 & 4th Yellow 213

Red House wins back to back swimming honours. Also, thanks to all staff & students who assisted on the day.

All the winners will now go onto represent the school at the Interschool competition in early March.

HEAD OF THE BOYS ROWING REGATTA - BALLARAT

Footscray City College was represented in the Head of the School Boys rowing regatta in Ballarat a few weeks ago by Alex Wilson and Pat Doherty of Year 11.  They rowed in the Seniors Double Scull and came 2nd in the final.  Pat won his heat for the single scull.  Congratulations!

Pat Doherty, Alex Wilson, Sam Wilson (Year 9) and Brooklyn Belin (Year 8) will also be competing again for FCC in March at the State School's regatta.  We wish them all the best.
