Sovereign Hill Excursion - Grade 1&2

Students in junior school will be visiting Sovereign Hill on Friday, the 20th of March

Students need to bring the following:

Snack

Lunch

Water bottle

Small bag to carry around for the day

We will be leaving and returning to school within school hours. If all Junior School students attend the excursion, we will require a small number of students to travel in staff vehicles. If you feel this arrangement would be suitable for your child, don’t hesitate to get in touch with your child’s classroom teacher to discuss.

See the attachment below for more information:

Lots of Socks Day

World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated on 21st March each year. This year, Teesdale Primary School will use the Lots of Socks theme created by Down Syndrome International and celebrate World Down Syndrome Day on the 23rd March.

On this day, we ask that your child wear socks of their choice to school. They can be bright, colourful, short or long, the choice is endless! During the day, we will be discussing what makes us all unique, as well as Down syndrome.

We will talk about inclusion and how we can all help each other to feel included.

For the students who are of age 9 or above, this is an opportunity for them to be selected to represent Teesdale Primary School in the Flinders District Cross Country. This will be happening in Week 2. Students will be selected for this even based on times and not position. More information will be released to those students that are successful after the T.P.S Cross Country Event.

Spectators: spectators are welcome and encouraged! There will be very limited parking around the oval as this will be utilised for the race. We ask that parents park at the bottom of the hill and walk up to the oval. We kindly ask that all spectators remain off the oval while the events are running.
