NRL and AFL Experience

NRL Experience
9 people got selected from 5/6 CD and 5/6 VW. They went to the NRL game on Friday the 20th of March. It was held at AAMI Park. First we all met up with each other and then went into the stadium where everyone got given bags with our uniforms inside. We all got changed, then we went to a room where we were all getting talked to about what's going to happen when we were going to go on the field with the storm players. We went to the entrance of the field, watched the indigenous dance, then we went back to the entrance and got ready to run out with the players. The players came out and we held their hand as we ran through the banner and through the flames. We all had a blast and stayed for the whole match. We all really enjoyed it but the team lost to the Broncos 14 to 18, otherwise we all had an amazing experience!
AFL Visit
On Monday the 23rd of March two Essendon AFL players, Jacob Farrow and Sullivan Robby, came down to our school for a kick to kick on the oval. They spent 20 minutes kicking with lots of students. They showed us some tricks. After that they did a talk/questioning session with the 5-6 students in the library. Jacob and Sullivan were really fun to talk to and really entertaining and we learnt what it takes to be an AFL player and what they need to do, to be as good as they are.
