Welcome back to Term 2. I hope the Easter season was a time of rest, renewal and joy for your families. As we return to school, we continue to carry the message of Easter with us a message of hope, new life and the promise that light always overcomes darkness.
As we move through Term 2, we remain in the Easter season, which continues for 50 days following Easter Sunday a time of joy, hope and celebration of the risen Christ.
The Easter season concludes with the celebration of Pentecost (Sunday, May 24th), when we remember the coming of the Holy Spirit to the disciples. This moment is often described as the “birthday of the Church,” as the disciples were filled with courage and sent out to share the message of Jesus with the world. For our students, Pentecost is a reminder that we too are called to live with courage, to act with kindness and to use our gifts to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
As a community, may we continue to be guided by the Spirit as we grow in faith, kindness and service to others. Please see below for opportunities to come together and celebrate Mass as a community.
