World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD)

Lots of Socks Celebration!

On Monday 23rd March, the Chilwell 5/6 cohort celebrated World Down Syndrome Day! World Down Syndrome Day celebrates people with Down Syndrome and teaches everyone that being different is awesome. The day promotes kindness, friendship and inclusion and is celebrated by wearing colourful socks. The ‘Lots of Socks’ campaign is designed to promote acceptance for all of our differences and what makes us each unique as individuals. Socks come in all shapes, sizes and designs, like each of us!
