A Prayer for Mother's Day

Loving God,

We give you thanks for the gift of mothers and all those who care for us with a mother’s love. We are grateful for their kindness, their patience, and the countless small acts of love that shape our days.

Bless all mothers in our community. Strengthen them when they are tired, comfort them when they are worried, and fill their hearts with joy in the love they give and receive.

We remember too those for whom this day is difficult, those who grieve, and those who are separated from their children. Surround them with your peace and gentle care. Remember all the mothers who are no longer with us on this earth. May their memory continue to live on in our hearts each day. 

Help us to show our gratitude not only today, but every day, through our words, our actions, and our love.

May we always recognise the gift of those who nurture, guide, and support us.
