PHYSICAL EDUCATION

It has been a fantastic start to Term 2 in Physical Education, with students across the school building their endurance and showing great commitment as they prepare for our Cross Country event.

It has been especially pleasing to see students encouraging one another, pushing through challenges, and demonstrating our values of Respect, Pride, and Safety. I’m incredibly proud of the effort and positive attitudes on display, and we look forward to celebrating their achievements on Friday.

Following this, students will begin transitioning into Athletics training and Inter-school Sport for the 5/6 Students, where they will continue developing their skills across a range of track and field events and have opportunities to represent the school early next term.

We were also fortunate to welcome Reece Langdon, a paralympic athletic whose represented Australia, who shared a powerful message about resilience, discipline, perseverance, and the importance of enjoying sport—an inspiring experience for all students in Grades 3-6

Well done everyone!

LOTE (JAPANESE)

Welcome back. I hope all families enjoyed a restful and enjoyable holiday break.

It has been very pleasing to see that many students have retained the knowledge and skills developed in their Japanese lessons, even after a two-week break.

In Term 2, Junior students will continue learning Japanese through songs, supporting vocabulary development in an engaging and interactive way. Students in Year 1 and 2 will also practise writing their names and numbers.

Middle years students will focus on reading words written in hiragana, while continuing to expand their vocabulary.

Senior students will be introduced to additional hiragana symbols, including dakuten and han-dakuten, while further developing their conversational skills.

It is a pleasure to see students’ continued growth and increasing confidence in communicating in Japanese.

Wishing all families a successful and rewarding Term 2.
