SUB SCHOOL REMINDERS

Junior, Middle & Senior Sub School Offices

We hope students are enjoying a positive and engaging start to Term 1, and we warmly welcome all new students to our school community.

Our Sub School Offices have an open-door policy, encouraging students to seek support whenever needed.

We also value strong communication with parents and carers and welcome meetings by appointment with a Year Coordinator to ensure dedicated time and support.

Early Leaver Passes

If it is necessary to collect your child before the end of a school day, we ask that you enter this on COMPASS or provide a written note with your child.

Students must see the Sub School Assistants either, before Home Group, at recess or lunchtime and a pass will be issued to them.

School Uniform

Students are REQUIRED to wear correct school uniform every day, including travelling to and from Lilydale High School.

The co-operation of parents and carers is expected in delivering a high standard of appearance for students.

Sanctions will apply for any student not wearing the correct uniform items.

If a student is marked absent without prior parent approval before 10:45am, a text message will be sent to Parent A with a link to explain the absence.

Once the form is completed, the absence will be updated in Compass.

If any parent or carer has trouble logging in or approving an absence, please contact the Sub School Office Assistants for support.

Mobile Phone & Headphone Policy

Lilydale High School understands that students may bring a personal mobile phone and headphones to school, particularly if they are travelling independently to and from school.

At Lilydale High School:

Students who choose to bring mobile phones to school must have them switched off and securely stored in their locker during school hours. This includes before school.

Students who choose to bring headphones to school must have them securely stored during school hours. This includes before school.

Exceptions to this policy may be applied if certain conditions are met. (Please refer to school policy below).

When emergencies occur, parents or carers should reach their child by calling the school’s office on 9735 5644.

Charge Devices

A reminder that students must ensure their devices are fully charged before coming to school each day. Devices are an essential learning tool and should be ready for use in every class.

Student Lockers

As valuable items such as Chromebooks, mobile phones and wallets are often stored in lockers throughout the day, it is imperative that students secure their lockers with a padlock at all times to prevent items from going missing.

Facial Piercings

Students are not permitted to have facial piercings while at school. This includes clear retainers or covering a piercing with a band-aid.

We strongly recommend that any new facial piercings be postponed until the December school holidays. This allows adequate healing time before the piercing would need to be removed daily for school attendance.
