Mrs Youngs

Hello! My name Carla and I am the Foundation leader. I have been teaching at APS for 19 years now…. I started here and have just never left! I am a mum of 3 kids including twins...they are all in high school now. I love being a mum and cheering my kids on at sports on the weekends.... boy, do we play a lot of sport. Nugget is my other furry child- a 1-year-old Golden Retriever who loves swimming at the beach and jumping on the trampoline. In my spare time you’ll find me at the gym, down at the beach or on a caravan adventure somewhere in Australia!

Miss Skillen

Hi! My name is Neve and I’ve taught Year 4, Year 1 and I’m now lucky enough to be teaching Foundation. Teaching really is the best job! Being able to watch students grow throughout the year and see them engage in their learning with curiosity is super rewarding. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy beach days, game board nights with friends and a good book. During footy season, you’ll most likely find me cheering on the Pies!

Miss Richards

Hi, my name is Zoe and this is currently my fourth year teaching Foundation at APS. My favourite part of teaching Foundation is witnessing the incredible growth students make throughout the year—seeing them learn to read and write while building confidence. Outside of school, I love trying new restaurants and enjoy going on spontaneous camping trips. I am currently training for another Hyrox, so I love running and going to the gym.
