Principal's Message

Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

On Wednesday evening, our school community gathered for our very first Christmas Carols, and what a wonderful celebration it was. The evening brought families, staff, and students together in a spirit of joy, hope and peace.

I am incredibly proud of all our students for their confidence in singing so enthusiastically made the night truly memorable. A special congratulations goes to our F-2 students and our Grade 5/6 narrators, who delighted us with their retelling of the Nativity story reminding us of the true story of Christmas - Jesus’ birth.

My sincere thanks to Miss Sophie Mackinnon for not only her vision of a Carols night but her planning, preparation and dedication in bringing the evening together. Sophie was of course supported by many of our staff who gave their time to ensure our community had a wonderful carols evening. An extra special thank you needs to go to Mr Heath Leighton for the incredible behind the scenes work he did as our 'sound engineer' ensuring that we could hear our kids singing.  Thank you also to Mrs Collinson and her daughter Sophie who volunteered her time to create and sew a lot of the nativity casts costumes. And of course a HUGE thank you to all families who were able to join us to make our very first carols such a huge success!

2026 Step-Up Program

On Monday, our students took part in their first Step-Up Morning, spending time in their 2026 classrooms and meeting their teacher and class mates. I was very proud to see our students show the PBL value of Resilience throughout the morning. For some, stepping into a new environment can feel exciting; for others, it can be a little daunting. Yet every student approached the experience with courage and a willingness to try something new. Next Monday, our students will have their second and final Step-Up morning.

2026 Annual Tuition Fee & Book Pack in 2026

As shared in the recent 2026 Annual Tuition Fee Parent Letter, parents will no longer be required to purchase any ‘School Book Pack’ items themselves as the curriculum levy increase now covers these items. For more details regarding the 2026 Annual Tuition Fee, please see the Post on Compass

Final Newsletter for 2025

This will be the final full version of the Mother Teresa Newsletter for the 2025 school year. There are many events over the final week and a bit of the school year, so I ask you to check the 'upcoming events' closely. Next week there will be a letter from myself which will include the 2026 school calendar and details for the beginning of the school year.

God Bless,

Jess
