A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated to our NCS Christmas Appeal!
Your generosity is helping us share the love of Christ and Christmas cheer with those supported by the Nowra Community Store and SALT Ministries.
We have just one week left to collect items!
Please send your donations of non-perishable food items with your child to their Classroom/AM Class by Friday 21 November, 2025.
Key Items Still Needed:
Let's finish this appeal strong and bless our community this Christmas!
Sadly, our wonderful Defence School Mentor, Mrs Varga is leaving us at the end of 2025. She has faithfully served our school and Defence families in this important role for the last 9 years. As a result, we are currently looking for a new Defence School Mentor to step into the role in 2026.
Do you know someone passionate about the well-being of children and young adults? Do they have an understanding of the unique needs of Defence families?
Nowra Christian School (NCS) is seeking a dedicated Defence School Mentor (DSM) to join our team! This crucial, on-site role is funded by the Defence Member and Family Support (DMFS) Branch of the Commonwealth Department of Defence.
The DSM is vital in supporting the social and emotional well-being of Defence students and providing practical assistance to their families as they integrate into our school community.
This position is currently funded for 15 hours per week until 30 June 2026.
For more information or to apply please visit out website.

If your child/ren have outgrown their football boots, I would love the chance to give them a new purpose! We have a Secondary Zone Touch Football Gala Day coming up this term and several of our students are excited to participate but don’t have the proper footwear. It would be fantastic to collect a few pairs of donated boots to lend out for the event. If you have any old boots you’d be willing to contribute, please send them to Miss Bignell in the PDHPE Department.
Thank you for your generosity!

Students in the Opal network applying for an Opal card (including a Term Bus Pass) for the first time will receive their School Opal card at their nominated postal address from mid-January 2026.
Students progressing from Year 2 to Year 3 and from Year 6 to Year 7 need to re-apply.
Where a student meets the new distance eligibility, the system will automatically update their entitlement. If they do not meet the new distance requirements, they will receive an expiry notification.
Students who change address, school, campus location, have repeated a year or received an expiry notification for their school travel entitlement need to renew or update their details before the end of term 4. This will ensure that schools can endorse applications before the end of the year, so students travel entitlement can remain valid for the start of the 2026 school year.
Students who have an entitlement approved under a medical condition that is due to expire will receive a notification advising them to re-apply.
Term Bus Pass holders will receive a notification to re-apply.
