Team Leader's Message

 Term 4

As the 2025 school year came to a close, we were incredibly proud of the growth and achievements of our Secondary 11/12 students. Throughout the year, they demonstrated impressive maturity, increasing independence, and continued development of the employability skills needed for life beyond school. Their commitment to the Victorian Pathways Certificate and their participation in the Thursday Work-Related Skills programs were outstanding. Many of our senior students also completed their Structured Workplace Learning placements, gaining valuable hands-on experience with external employers.

A key highlight was the Year 12 Camp to the Mornington Peninsula. Students embraced every activity. Their behaviour, teamwork, and respect across the camp were exceptional and reflected the leadership and maturity they developed throughout the year.

On Thursday 4th December, we proudly celebrated our 2025 Year 12 graduates at the Grande Reception and Function Centre. Each student delivered a personal speech, sharing their achievements, challenges, friendships, and memorable moments from their time at Concord School. Their confidence and pride were evident, and it was wonderful to see how far each student had come.

We would also like to acknowledge the dedication of our staff, external trainers, families, and community partners who supported our students throughout the year. Your guidance, patience, and care made a significant difference in the lives of our young people.

Importantly, on behalf of the team, we thank Ann Park for her many years of service at Concord School and for being a central part of organising and celebrating numerous graduations and school camps within the Year 11 and 12 section. Her dedication to students and colleagues has been greatly valued, and we wish her all the very best for a well-earned retirement.

Thank you to everyone for your support during another successful and memorable year. We look forward to seeing what our students go on to achieve as they continue their pathways beyond school.

Warm regards,

Mary-Ann O'Reilly & Patrick Kearney
