PROUD is the first word that comes to mind when I reflect on the last few weeks of school. I am proud of the students and their efforts in learning, and proud of staff for their dedication towards creating opportunities and moments for our students to shine and be their very best!

Next week our five year 5 students will be completing Naplan. Naplan is one aspect of our students and their learning. This week students have been familiarising themselves with the online platform and practicing example questions using the demonstration website in preparation for the state wide assessments. We only ask that students do their very best. It is an opportunity for students to show what they know. I know that Miss. Bortoletti has been working tremendously hard over the last 6 weeks in Room 1 to build confidence, skills, and attitudes that will only contribute to the success of our students completing Naplan.

The TEAM wishes our year 5 students the very best of luck on Naplan next week. Plus...let us not forget that we celebrate our efforts with an Naplan Cake on the last day of assessments.

The Yard

During our break times we have been cooperating during games and enjoying some of our new sports equipment. It truly is a wonderful feeling when staff are outside supervising in the playground. Students are playing together, using their imagination together, helping each other, and problem solving when playing games.

Sharing in each other's interests is always valued at Cowwarr. Learning more about one another can always be a fun surprise! Thank you Emma for bringing in some of your beloved animals that you look after at home. I don't think that I have seen a duck up so close and personal before.

Swimming Carnival

Congratulations to our two year 6 students for their efforts in the Sale Rural Cluster Swimming Event that took place on Friday 28th February. This year it was decided to only take those who were competing in the 50m and 25m swimming events. Well done to April and Brylie who represented Cowwarr Primary School proudly with their efforts on the day.

Congratulations to the students who have received awards over the last two weeks. With so many people showing our school values to the highest standards, it is a difficult decision to select Student of the Week Awards.

I am so proud of the TEAM and proud to be part of this wonderful community. I am excited for the 2025 school year and all of the amazing things we will achieve together.
