At Dundas Public School we do our best always

It has been another exciting few weeks at Dundas Public School, with our students continuing to embrace opportunities to learn, grow and shine.

One of the highlights has been the installation of our brand-new water bubblers and bottle filling stations. These fantastic additions provide students with even greater access to fresh drinking water throughout the school day. A huge thank you to our wonderful P&C for their generous contribution towards this project. Their ongoing support continues to make a real difference to the learning environment and wellbeing of our students.

Our students have also impressed us with their learning during our recent Stage Expos. Stage 2 students showcased their persuasive writing skills through creative presentations and donation box designs aimed at saving endangered animals. Their passion, creativity and ability to convince others certainly had us all wondering whether we should be adopting a few extra animals ourselves! It was wonderful to see students applying their learning to real-world issues and sharing their ideas so confidently.

Stage 1 students also wowed visitors during their Science Expo, where they explored the world of forces. From pushes and pulls to investigating how things move, students eagerly shared their experiments, discoveries and scientific thinking. It was fantastic to see their curiosity and enthusiasm on display.

As part of their cross-curricular learning, our Kindergarten students proudly hosted their Farmers Market, selling a range of delicious homemade baked goods. Through this authentic learning experience, students explored where food comes from, teamwork and giving back to the community. Thanks to the generosity of our families, funds raised will be donated to Rural Aid to support Australian farming families.

Our P&C disco was another wonderful opportunity for students to connect, have fun and make memories with their friends. A heartfelt thank you to our P&C volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to organise this event. These opportunities simply would not be possible without the dedication and generosity of our parent community.

As always, I continue to feel incredibly proud of our students. Whether in the classroom, on the playground or sharing their learning with others, they consistently demonstrate kindness, curiosity and a willingness to give things a go.

I would like to thank our students, staff and families for another wonderful term of learning and growth. I hope everyone enjoys a well-deserved break, taking the opportunity to rest, recharge and spend time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next term, ready for another exciting semester of learning at Dundas Public School. Stay safe, take care and enjoy the holidays.

Bullying Prevention – Working Together

At Dundas Public School, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued and respected. The NSW Department of Education recognises that preventing and responding to bullying is most effective when schools, families and students work together. Strong relationships, open communication and encouraging children to speak up when something doesn't feel right all play an important role in creating a positive school culture.

We encourage families to continue conversations at home about kindness, respect and standing up for others. If your child has concerns about bullying or their wellbeing, please encourage them to speak with a trusted adult so we can work together to provide support.

At Dundas, we're all in when it comes to creating a school where everyone belongs, feels safe and can thrive. ❤️💛🖤💚
