Celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation

On Tuesday, 27 October, twelve students from Years 3 and 4 celebrated an important milestone in their faith journey by receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Through this special sacrament, students were invited to reflect on their choices, seek forgiveness and experience God's unconditional love and mercy. It was a beautiful and prayerful occasion as the students took this important step in growing their faith.

We congratulate Edgar, Elijah, Anika, Sarah, Augustin, Bella, Mateo, Casper, Jake, Steele, Sam and Felicity on receiving this special sacrament. We also thank Fr Binh, our teachers and families for supporting the students throughout their sacramental journey.

Feast Day of St Martin de Porres

Tomorrow, Friday 30 October, we will celebrate the Feast Day of St Martin de Porres, our school's patron saint.

This special occasion provides an opportunity for our students to learn more about the life of St Martin and reflect on the values he embodied, including kindness, compassion, humility and service to others.

Throughout the day, students will participate in special learning activities, attend our Feast Day Mass at 10:30 am and enjoy a fun-filled sports afternoon!

Dress Code: All students are asked to wear their sports uniform for the day.

Feast Day Mass: Families are warmly invited to join us for Mass at 10:30 am, which will be led by our Year 5A students.

We look forward to celebrating our school's patron saint and reflecting on the values of love and service that are at the heart of SMDP. We hope to see many of our families at Mass!

An Important Announcement Regarding Fr Binh Le

We would like to share some news regarding Fr Binh Le.

Fr Binh has recently been appointed  Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Melbourne, commencing on 1 February 2027. As a result, Fr Binh will be leaving Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.

While this is an exciting new opportunity for Fr Binh, he will certainly be missed by our parish and school communities. Fr Binh has been a valued and much loved part of our community, and we are incredibly grateful for his faith, leadership, guidance and ongoing support. We thank him for the many ways he has shared his faith and served our parish and schools.

As the Archdiocese begins the process of appointing a new Parish Priest, we keep Fr Binh and our wider parish community in our prayers during this time of transition.

We wish Fr Binh every blessing as he takes on this new and important responsibility in the Archdiocese of Melbourne.
