JERSEY UPDATE
Students who receive a jersey for any upcoming trial, gala day or interschool sport will be recorded as proof of this borrowing method. This will allow our school to continue to use these jerseys and have enough for all students to wear and represent our school proudly at the many sporting events we provide to all students. Once jerseys are washed and returned to the school office, our staff will mark that the jersey has been returned. Any jerseys not returned will incur a replacement fee.
Please check the wardrobes at home and return any jerseys of any style (singlet, soccer jersey or footy jersey) which belong to the school. Thank you for the cooperation with this matter.
Interschool Sport
Year 5 last week highly enjoyed the AFL Interschool Gala Day . Check out the smiles below as they enjoy their time outdoors being active in a safe and structured sporting environment.
Please ensure you provide permission for your child to attend their next interschool sporting opportunity event. Below is an outline of all interschool sport across all grades for 2026.
Trials have now been completed for all Interschool Stage 3 teams. Below is the document with all information on the trial structure for 2026.
Representative Trials
Congratulations to Xavier who has been announced in the MacKillop hockey team. Xavier will compete at the NSWPSSA Hockey Championships from May 18th to 21st, in Bathurst.
Jordan G and Jasper T braved the rain at the Sydney Touch Trial. We await results to see if they progressed. A shout out to Ethan R who gave it his all at the Mackillop Trial. The talent at the trial was very competitive. We are so proud of your effort! Finally Noah will give it his best at the Sydney Rugby Union trial. St Patricks continues to represent right up until the end of the competition season.
This week we had 25 students compete at the Sydney Cross Country Championships. Another successful trial hosted by Sydney Catholic Schools as our students experienced the fun of racing on the track at Sydney Motor Sports Park. Below are some photos from the day. Congratulations to the following students who will progress to the MacKillop Cross Country Trials - Rocca VW and Noah OC. Congratulations to Maisie T and Kyler R who placed 8th on the day.

NFL FLAG FOOTBALL UPDATE
Each year our school competes in the U12's NFL hosted flag football championships. NFL have recently sent us communication on how this tournament will look moving forward. Please see the below correspondence.
''As you all will know, the winners of our regional competitions, compete at our nationals in the Gold Coast with the winner of that tournament getting the opportunity to represent Australia at the International Championships held in the USA! Unfortunately, the USA team, have moved the 12U Championships to July which aligns with the 15U competition as well. So with that change we have been forced to change our tournament dates. That means for 2026 there will be no official regional competitions for 12U. These will all be moved to the start of 2027 to align with the International champs. We understand that some of your students will be disappointed by this as well as the teachers! We are looking at alternate options for the end of this year but have nothing locked in at this stage.

SUTHERLAND BASKETBALL GALA DAYS
Sutherland Basketball have invited our school to their annual gala days. Term 2 dates are for the boys gala days, while the girls will be offered the same opportunity in Term 3. This expression of interest form will close Friday May 15th. It is recommended for students who are familiar with the sport to get involved. No late entries can be accepted due to administrative deadlines with Sutherland Basketball. Please look at the attachment with all details.
