Sacrament of Confirmation

On Sunday 30th August, 18 of our Year 6 students celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation at St Agatha’s Parish. This was the culmination of many weeks of preparation, reflection and prayer as our students renewed their commitment to their faith and prepared to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

It was a truly special occasion for our students, their families and our wider faith community. We were incredibly proud to see our students approach this important sacramental celebration with such maturity, reverence and enthusiasm. They represented St Therese’s remarkably, demonstrating a genuine commitment to their faith and a deep respect for the significance of the Sacrament they were receiving.

Confirmation is an important step in our students’ faith journey as they are strengthened by the Holy Spirit to live out their faith with courage, compassion and love. I hope that the experience of preparing for and celebrating this Sacrament will continue to inspire our students as they grow in their relationship with God and seek to live out our school vision to ‘do all that you do with love.’

This Friday, we will be hosting an afternoon tea for our Year 6 Candidates as a further celebration. I would like to thank Sam Sempio for his support with this.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Rebecca Jeffery, Denise Essa, Sam White and Mary Lutu, who generously gave their time to attend the celebration and support our students on this significant occasion. I also thank our families and the St Agatha’s Parish community for the wonderful support they provided throughout the students’ preparation.

Congratulations to our 18 Confirmation candidates. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide, strengthen and inspire you as you continue your journey of faith.
