CELEBRATING OUR FAITH

We congratulate all the students who recently received the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation. It was a very special occasion for our school and parish community, and we are so proud of the way the students prepared for and celebrated these important steps in their faith journey.
The Mass was a beautiful reminder of the presence of Christ in our lives and the strength we find together as a faith community.
On Sunday 7 September 2025, the Catholic Church celebrated the canonisation of two young people - Carlo Acutis and Pier Giorgio Frassati.
Carlo Acutis was born in 1991 and loved computers, video games, and football, but most of all he loved Jesus in the Eucharist. He used his computer skills to create a website that shared Eucharistic miracles with the world. Even though he died at only 15 years old, Carlo’s joy and deep faith continue to inspire young people everywhere.
Pier Giorgio Frassati was born in 1901 in Italy. He was known for his love of mountain climbing, practical jokes, and spending time with friends. At the same time, he devoted his life to serving the poor and sick, often giving away his money, food, and time to help others. He died at just 24 years old, remembered for his joyful faith and generosity.
Both Carlo and Pier Giorgio remind us that holiness is not only for priests and nuns or for people who live long ago. Holiness is possible here and now, at any age, and it begins with loving God and serving others.
Loving God,
We thank You for the lives of
Carlo Acutis and Pier Giorgio Frassati.
They remind us that young people can be saints too - by using our gifts to serve others, by living with joy, and by putting You first in our lives. Help us to follow their example, to love You more each day, and to bring Your light to the world. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Last week, students in Years 8 and 9 took part in their Christian Living Days here at school. The students had a great time engaging in activities, reflection, being aware of their emotions, self awareness and community building together as a cohort.
The days were facilitated by the Lasallian Youth Ministry team, with special thanks to Koe and Emilia for leading the program. These Christian Living Days are an important part of our school’s mission and commitment to caring for the spiritual welfare of each student.
