Festival of Music Performance at Adelaide Entertainment Centre

When 25 of our students took to the stage at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre last week for the Public Primary Schools Festival of Music Stars on Stage, they shone with confidence and pride. 

The concert featured 1,300 Year 5 and 6 students joining voices in a breathtaking massed choir. Audiences were also treated to Guest Artists from primary and secondary schools, vibrant performances across a range of musical genres and impressive showcases from the orchestra and troupe. 

We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work, passion and brilliance on stage.

Sports Day - Friday - 19 September

Last Friday, September 19, Clovelly Park Primary School held its annual Sports Day. The event was an huge success, showcasing our students’ enthusiasm, resilience, and commitment to teamwork.

The day began with vibrant house chants and a whole-school Fitness Hustle featuring the popular Nutbush dance. The atmosphere was filled with energy as students proudly represented their houses in colour and spirit.

Throughout the morning, students from Reception to Year 6 participated in ten engaging tabloid events. These activities provided an opportunity for all students to demonstrate their determination, skills, and cooperation while earning valuable points for their houses. After lunch, the school came together for the whole-school relay, with every year level represented, the race generated great excitement and loud encouragement from spectators.

The afternoon concluded with a series of highly entertaining community events. Parent sprints provided plenty of fun and friendly competition, while the tug-of-war challenges between Teachers vs Students, Parents vs Students, and Teachers vs Parents were a crowd favourite, highlighting the strong community spirit that defines our school.

Results

Congratulations to Marion (Red) for winning the Good Spirit Cup, and to Sturt (Blue) for achieving first place in the Tabloid Events.

A sincere thank you is extended to our dedicated staff, students, and families for contributing to the success of the day. Special thanks go to the Sports Committee for their planning and organisation and to the Lions Club for generously providing a delicious BBQ for our school community.
