GENERAL NEWS

UNIFORM
From next week, children may wear either their full summer or full winter uniform until the end of the term. From Term 4, all children are expected to be in their full summer uniform.
Children must be wearing a hat when playing outside. Any child without a hat at break time will be asked to stay in the Undercroft area or the Library.
MOBILE PHONES
If bringing a mobile phone to school, all students must hand it into the office at the beginning of the day. Mobile phones are stored securely and students can collect them when dismissed from class. If your child is wearing a smart watch to school, the 'school mode' must be activated during school hours.
VERITAS
Our Veritas Awards stem from our school motto - ‘Veritas’ - meaning truth. The Veritas Award is awarded to students who have been consistently displaying citizenship, leadership and/or Christian Living. Students receiving a Veritas Award are those students who have displayed our ‘Rules for Living’ in their everyday interactions. We announce our Veritas award recipients at Friday morning assemblies every fortnight. Congratulations to: Hugo Duncan, Fletcher Collett, Ned Walker, Hamish Waugh, Toby Breznik, Jaiden Allen, Henry Young, Evolet Pottathuparambil, Willow Henry, Evie Baker, Emily Waugh, Layla Bevan, Aria McHugh, Sophie LaBrooy, James Mahony, Eli Moore and Xander Kidd.

SUPERVISION OF STUDENTS
Supervision of students does not begin until 8.15am each day.
St Nicholas School gates will not be open until the arrival of the first school bus at approximately 8.10am. It is not appropriate for children to be at school before this time with no supervision.
If your child/ren require care before 8.15am we recommend you contact Esteem Kids Before and After School Care, which operate in the grounds of St Nicholas School.
