Grade 1/2 Pout Pout Fish - the final product!

Students learnt how to use the pinch pot technique to create a 3D sculpture out of magiclay. They explored shape and form to create a pout pout fish, after listening to a story. Students used acrylic paint to add colour and next week will use paint pens to add details to their sculpture. Students are working on developing their fine motor skills through the manipulation of the clay.

Grade 3/4 Monochromatic Cubes

In this lesson, students learnt about the element of art - value. Students built on previous knowledge of mixing tints and shades to create a value scale. Students then followed instructions to draw a cube using a ruler, and painted each section of the cube with different value. Students mixed their own tints and shades, and focused on painting crisp neat lines. Each section of the paint is designed to create a three-dimentional cube with depth. Please enjoy a small selection of completed works. Well done Grade 3/4!
