Principal's Report

Dear Families,
CURRICULUM DAY
We enjoyed a very productive Professional Developmen day on Monday. We have shifted our focus to Spelling and our consultant Danny Hyndman spent the day upskilling us on lots of evidence-based strategies for teaching spelling across the school. We came away from the day very inspired and excited to implement these strategies into our classroom practice.
MOTHER'S DAY STALL
The Parents and Friends had their Mother's Day Stall yesterday. Thank you to those who kindly donated items and the parents who donated their time to run the stall. Fund raised were $992.00.
WHOLE SCHOOL EXCURSION
Tomorrow, we will be heading to the Melbourne Zoo for our whole school excursion. Students will enjoy walking around the zoo exploring the exhibitions as well as participating in an education session. Students and parents travelling on the bus will be required to be at school by 7:15am for a prompt 7:30am departure. We expect to arrive home approximately 4:30pm. A Xuno message will be sent to families on the way home to give an update.
There will be no OHSC program in the morning. If students require care on their return from the zoo, please contact Bree or speak to Sarah or Micaela in OHSC.
OPEN DAYS
We conducted two tours of the school on Tuesday with another one next Tuesday 12th May. We love to show off our beautiful school buildings and grounds! Interested people are welcome to book a tour online via the Survey Monkey Link or contact the school to register.
