Kinder/Year 1

The children are already anticipating Christmas! In Religion, K1 have begun our preparations for the start of Advent, next week, which is a time of waiting and joyful anticipation for the coming of the Messiah. In exploring this season with the class, the emphasis is on getting ready to meet Jesus and sharing stories leading up to his birth. These stories are of waiting and expectation. This week we shared the story of the Annunciation and looked at how artists have painted this scene over the millennia. We have used these for drawing, painting, making the scene in playdough and making puppets.
