Year 1 Highlight

In Year One, our learning has focused on the season of Advent, a time of preparation and anticipation as we remember the birth of Jesus. As part of this journey, we explored the story of the Annunciation, when the Angel Gabriel visited Mary to share the joyful news that she would give birth to Jesus, the Son of God. Through this story, we reflected on Mary's courage and faith, discussing how we, too, can show bravery and trust in our daily lives.To deepen our understanding, the students created beautiful stained glass window artworks, each symbolising the light and hope of the Advent season. These were accompanied by heartfelt prayers written to Mary, expressing our gratitude, hopes, and intentions during this special time of waiting and preparation. The students have shown thoughtful engagement and creativity throughout this meaningful learning experience.
