Meet Our 2025 College Captains
Hi Everyone,
Our names are Ollie, Sarosh, Abbey and Sarah and we are your College Captains for 2025 at DSC!
We can’t wait for the year ahead where DSC were we all work together as a school cohort to achieve our goals collectively. We all took on the roll for different reasons, but together have identified where we hope to excel as a school community. From student- teacher relationships to primary school interactions and junior school leadership opportunities, we are passionate to contribute to our schools ongoing successes.
To the Graduating Class of 2025, we are excited to look back on our last 12 years of education and challenge ourselves to make the most of what lies ahead in our final year, support each other and form long-lasting memories. It will bring new challenges and hurdles, but together lets create a year we are proud of and every goal feels within reach.

Jayden’s Remarkable Journey at His First International Tournament
We are incredibly proud to share the exciting story of Jayden’s first international competition, which saw him competing against over 1,800 athletes from 53 countries! The tournament was a huge milestone for Jayden, who made it all the way to the semi-finals, finishing in the top 16—a remarkable achievement for someone at the beginning of their international journey.
Although Jayden was ultimately defeated by a skilled Japanese competitor, preventing him from reaching the final top 8, his experience at the tournament was nothing short of invaluable. The opportunity to compete at such a high level exposed him to the world's best and gave him a glimpse of what it takes to succeed on the international stage.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this tournament was the friendships Jayden made with fellow athletes from across the globe. These connections have already led to exciting opportunities, including an invitation to train at one of the dojo’s in Japan, where Jayden had the chance to perform a kata for the local students. As seen in the photos, the warm welcome and support from the international community was overwhelming and a true highlight of his trip.
This experience has only fuelled Jayden’s determination to improve and strive for greatness. His ultimate goal is to break into the top 8 by 2027, and if this tournament is anything to go by, there’s no doubt that he will continue to push himself to reach new heights.
Congratulations, Jayden, on your outstanding performance! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you.
Honouring Remembrance Day at Doncaster Secondary College
On Remembrance Day, Doncaster Secondary College held a special commemoration to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who have served our country. This year’s ceremony was particularly meaningful, with a livestream outside W Block run by DSC students, allowing the entire school community to participate in this important occasion.
The school paused for a moment of silence, joining the nation in remembrance. Students shared personal reflections and stories to honour veterans, and the ceremony featured several moving tributes, including a performance of the national anthem on electric guitars by TJ and Xavier. Their rendition brought a modern twist to the anthem, making it a truly memorable part of the service.
In addition to the school ceremony, Assistant Principal Belinda McGee, along with College Captains Ella Royal and Harrison Parker, represented Doncaster Secondary College at the Doncaster RSL Remembrance Day service earlier that morning. Their participation in the community service was a meaningful way to honour our veterans and show respect for those who have served.
We are incredibly proud of all those involved in the ceremony, from the performers to the technical team, for creating such a moving and reflective event. A special thank you to:
- Tech Support: James, Alex, Brad, Tim Sprigg, and Howin

We are incredibly proud of the leadership shown by our students, both at the school ceremony and the RSL service, as they helped honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Lest we forget.
