Japanese Term 3

Prep students have been exploring the traditional Japanese fairy tale Momotarō (Peach Boy). Through this engaging story, they have been learning new Japanese vocabulary and building confidence in storytelling. Students have been listening, repeating and retelling parts of the story as they develop their understanding of Japanese language and culture.

Students have been learning vocabulary and sentences through the story, using fun action cues and movements to help them remember the new language. Combining language with actions has made learning memorable and has given students a fun way to practise their Japanese.
