Soccer Gala Day - Thursday 24th of September
Dear Parents & Caregivers, Year 3-6 students are invited to participate in soccer at the Diocesan Gala Day to be held in Tamworth on Thursday 24th of September, 2026. Students will be bussed from school to the fields in Tamworth and return for normal after school arrangements. Please complete permission via COMPASS by this Thursday 10/9/26. Thank you to those parents who have already signed this permission.
This is a fun filled “come and participate” day open to all primary students. The focus is on participation not competition. We have lots of students who play soccer on the playground at lunchtime so it would be great to have all 3-6 students come along for a day of sport. The school intends on sending 2 mixed teams. One Year 3/4 team and one 5/6 team. Students will not need any specialised equipment, the school has shin pads for students who would like to borrow them for the day. This is a great opportunity to finish Term 3 off with a bang.
Here are the details for the day: Event Venues: Time: Please be at school by 8:30am to board the bus Soccer: Gipp St playing fields, Tamworth Cost: All individuals must pay a $10 ACS levy to play. Equipment & Uniform: Students are to wear their full school sports uniform. Students are advised to bring sunscreen and hats to wear at the trials. Please remember to bring adequate water for the day. Schools to provide the playing jerseys.
Catering at the venue: Canteen facilities will be available. Postponement: Where possible, the trials will proceed as planned. If they are washedout due to inclement weather, they will not be postponed. A notification will be sent via email and posted on theACS Primary Sport Facebook page. |
