The students have been learning about the elements of design and principles of design. The 1/2/3 class focussed on movement the other week. Here are collages cut out from backgrounds that the students painted using brushstrokes to show movement. They then arranged their designs to make the viewer's eye travel across, up, down or into the page.

The other week the 4/5/6s learnt about positive and negative space and produced these street light paintings. 

This week, all classes are working hard on 'Farm Art' pieces for the Lancefield show.

French

Grade 1-2-3 are running an experiment to see what a bean seed needs to germinate and grow. Will they still grow sans sol (without soil), sans eau (without water) or sans lumiere (without light)? They are doing a great job recording their observations in French!
