A Place to Belong
Last weekend was full of activity, energy and connection across our boarding community. Many of our students were involved in QGSSSA Winter Fixtures, while our boys celebrated a fantastic win in the Under 14 BBI Basketball semi-final, securing their place in this Saturday’s grand final.
It was also a wonderfully social weekend for our boarders. On Saturday evening, we enjoyed dinner at Somerville House before taking up a prime position to watch the Riverfire celebrations. On Sunday, we welcomed Ipswich Grammar School to Clayfield for a relaxed BBQ lunch, followed by games on the oval and time together back at the Boarding House.
This Friday evening, we look forward to attending the annual Yalari Gala Dinner at the Convention Centre. This special occasion is an opportunity to celebrate the important work of Yalari and to share the evening with our First Nations boarders, who are valued members of our boarding community and part of our ongoing Yalari partnership.
End of Term
Another reminder to please advise us as soon as possible of end of term travel plans for your child if you have not to date.
Our last Prep for the term will be this Thursday evening, with next week being all about end of term packing.
Driving
A reminder, if boarders require any driving, as per our conditions in the Boarding Handbook, please complete the Boarder Transport Application Form and return toboarding@clayfield.qld.edu.autwo weeks before the request.
Please note, health appointments are made by advice from our Health Centre and do not require the completion of this Boarder Transport Application Form.
