Just a quick reminder that all Diocesan shirts are needed to be washed and returned to school ASAP. We still have a number of shirts that are yet to be returned from our Soccer Gala Day at the end of last term. Students love getting the opportunity to wear these shirts and represent our school with pride, so there timely return is very much appreciated.

This term sport returns to Wednesdays only. In the first half of the term, students will be participating in school based tennis skills run by classroom teachers. From week 7, we will be heading over to the new Quirindi Aquatic Centre for swimming. These swimming sessions are focused on water confidence and familiarity. More information about these sessions will be detailed in upcoming newsletters.

Good luck to Ryder Hird and Dougie Pengilley who travel to Moree this Friday to trial for the Armidale Catholic Schools representative team. We hope you enjoy your day, learn lots and wish you all the very best of luck in the selection process!

We have been offered the opportunity to participate in the final Gala Day of 2025. This carnival will be held at the Gipps Street Playing Fields in Tamworth on Friday the 31st of October. Much like the Soccer Gala Day, this is a come and try and have fun day. It is about continuing our connections to our wider school community of the Diocese of Armidale. The Toch Football Gala day is offered to students from Year 3 to Year 6. I have discussed this with students and expressions of interest mean we could field 2, maybe even 3 teams. The school will be booking a bus for the day with a cost of $10 for travel(the rest if the cost is being covered by funding secured by the school, making it affordable for all). There is also a $10 player levy to participate, so the total cost of the day will be $20 per student.
Event Date: Friday 31st October 2025. It will commence at 9:30 am, but all children to arrive at 9:00 am. This means we will be leaving school by 8:10am (students will need to arrive at school no later than 7:50am). Trials are expected to finish by 2pm, so we can get back to school in time for normal afternoon arrangements.
Event Venues: Gipps St Playing fields, Tamworth
Nomination due date: Nominations are due by this Friday, so Mrs Bartholomew can put our teams in before the 5pm cut off.
Cost: All individuals must pay a $10 ACS Primary Sport levy to play, plus the $10 bus fee.
Equipment & Uniform: Students are to wear their full school sports uniform. Students are advised to bring sunscreen and hats to wear at the trials. Please remember to bring adequate water for the day. Diocesan Rep jerseys will be provided to students to wear on the day.
