Mr Irwin's Message

Hello families and welcome to this week’s newsletter for Term 1.
House Athletics
A huge thanks to everyone who was able to attend last week’s House Athletic Carnival. It is always an event that has a wonderful community atmosphere with students participating and being cheered on. A huge thanks must go to the Parent's Club members who helped out with the sausage sizzle too.
Our next big sporting event will be Cross Country on Friday April 24th. This will again be held at Don Wallace Oval and families are again welcome to attend and cheer students on.
Beloka Leadership Camp
Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of taking our school leaders to Beloka Kelpie in Welshpool for our annual Leadership Camp with students from Ashby and Mount Duneed Regional Primary Schools. Students got to hone their leadership skills working with leaders from other schools and of course handling kelpie pups. This is an experience every year that I love taking our student leaders too. The growth of our student leaders is something I value really. A huge thanks to School Council for once again supporting our school leaders to attend this camp.
End of Term - Early Dismissal
Can you believe the end of the term is nearly upon us? I hope families have an enjoyable Easter period and subsequent break to refresh for Term 2. A reminder that our final assembly for Term 1 will be at 2:00pm on Thursday for a 2:30pm finish. We return to school on Monday April 20th.
