Celebrating our Alumni Community at PVCC
At Plenty Valley Christian College, we love every opportunity to celebrate and strengthen our community. This past weekend, we were delighted to reconnect with our alumni from the 5, 10, 20 and 30-year cohort.
It was a wonderful afternoon of reminiscing, sharing stories and reconnecting together in the PVCC Staffroom. Guests enjoyed a delicious spread of food and barista-made coffee, generously provided by B. Food Designs Catering.
The event concluded with a tour of the College, where alumni had the chance to revisit familiar classrooms and explore the many new spaces that have developed over the years. It was a joy to see so many meaningful connections rekindled.
Thank you to all staff and alumni who contributed to making this event such a success. We look forward to continuing this tradition—classes of 1997, 2007 and 2017 and 2022, we can’t wait to welcome you back for your reunions in May next year!
Year 8, Four Peak Program - Hike #2
Our Year 8 students recently embraced the elements on their hike at Mount Macedon, beginning at the War Memorial Cross and making their way through to Camel’s Hump Lookout and back again. While the weather was far from ideal—cold, wet, and wonderfully muddy—it did little to dampen spirits.
Students displayed great resilience and enthusiasm throughout the day, tackling the slippery tracks with determination and plenty of laughter. The sound of singing echoed along the trail, creating a joyful atmosphere as friendships were strengthened along the way.
Despite muddy shoes and damp jackets, a core memory was made, and a hard task was completed. Building character and fostering resilience, all of which goes into raising children who are engaged, equipped, and empowered to transform their communities, both locally and globally.
Many students favourite part was the bus ride home, which was filled with plenty of laughs about the day’s adventures.
Well done to all students for their courage, teamwork, and outstanding attitude on what was truly a character-building day outdoors!
