Dear Families,
Harmony Day
Did you know that over half of Australians were born overseas or have at least one parent who was born overseas? At St Therese's, we are so proud of our diverse, multicultural community - our families come from over 30 different countries and 75% of our students speak a language other than English at home.
It is for this reason that we are so excited to celebrate Harmony Day each year and this year we're doing it a little different. Students are invited to dress in cultural dress or wear something orange in keeping with the Harmony Day theme. Families are also invited to send food for our shared lunch. Information for this has been sent home but please remember, we need ingredients to be listed so we can monitor students with allergies and there are no reheating facilities available. If you would like to assist, please contact your child's class teacher. All volunteers must have a Working With Children Check and have completed a volunteer induction - Michelle Hinds is running another session on Thursday afternoon at 2.30pm.
Candlebark Farm Camp
Next week our Senior students are heading off to camp. There is a lot of excitement and a few nerves among the students. Please ensure all relevant permission, medical and dietary forms have completed. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact your child's class teacher who will only too happy to help.
