Book Fair Coming Soon to Ironside
The Book Fair is returning to Ironside this term! This year, we are excited to partner with Where The Wild Things Are, a local independent bookstore. Every purchase helps our school library. The library will receive 20% of all Book Fair sales as credit to purchase new books for students to enjoy.
When: Wednesday 4 November to Wednesday 11 November
Where: Ironside Library, online, or in-store at Where The Wild Things Are
What's Different This Year?
A carefully selected range of books
We have worked with the bookseller at Where The Wild Things Are to offer a range of high-quality Australian children's titles.
Online order delivery
All online orders will be delivered to the school after the fair closes online.
Extended library opening hours
We are trialling additional opening times so parents and caregivers can browse the Book Fair without students present:
- 8:50am-9:00am
- From 2:40pm (Wed-Tue)
We look forward to welcoming families to the library and helping students discover their next great read.
Love Your Bookshop Day - 10 October
Children develop a strong reading identity when they are provided with opportunities to discover books, talk about stories, share recommendations, connect with a reading community and see reading as part of who they are. Alongside our library, local bookshops provide another wonderful space to discover new stories and foster a lifelong love of reading.
A wonderful opportunity is to consider attending a Love Your Bookshop Day event by your visiting your local bookshop on 10th October to celebrate reading, discover new books, and connect with fellow readers. Many bookstores will be celebrating with events, activities, story times and possibly even author visits.
