Student Celebrations

Multicultural Public Speaking
Meadowbank PS held our Multicultural Perspectives Public Speaking Competition Finals last week.
The Competition is run by the Department of Education Arts Unit and is open to all NSW government primary schools. Students chose to participate in the competition, were supported by our staff and then presented their speech in class. Speeches were marked and students selected to present their speeches at the School Finals.
Congratulations to the following students who were selected to present their speeches:
Year 3: Chloe L, Lana Y, Matthew W, Amelia G
Year 4: Michid Y, Isaac L, Amaya S, Anna L
Year 5: Hiba A
Year 6: Thea V, Josie L, Layan A
These students also presented an impromptu speech, which they had 5 minutes to prepare. The quality of both the prepared and impromptu speeches was of a high standard this year.
We are excited to announce that the students who will represent Meadowbank Public School at the local area finals are:
Stage 2: Lana Y and Isaac L
Stage 3: Thea V and Layan A
We wish them all the best.
Ms Emeleus & Mr Johnston
