Message from the Principal

As we head into the busy last month of Term 2, it’s an exciting and lively time for everyone - students and teachers alike! Our classrooms are full of activity, with students wrapping up their assessments and teachers busy putting together academic reports. On top of that, we’re also holding the public speaking and Spelling Bee finals, and planning some great excursions - just a few of the many events happening around the school right now.

Parent-Teacher interviews

We look forward to connecting with you during the Parent-Teacher interviews scheduled at the start of Term 3. Soon, we will be sending out detailed information about booking times and how you can meet with your child’s teacher to discuss their progress and achievements. These conversations are invaluable in supporting your child’s learning journey. 

Kindergarten 2027 enrolments now open

We are pleased to announce that enrolments for Kindergarten 2027 are now open! If you have a child who is staring Kindergarten in 2027, or if you know any families who are not currently part of our school community but are planning to enrol their child next year, please kindly share this information with them. Applications for both local and non-local enrolments can be easily submitted via our school website: Meadowbank Public School 

Keeping our children and community healthy 

Maintaining the health and wellbeing of our students, staff, and families is a top priority at Meadowbank Public School. We have thorough measures in place to help reduce the risk of flu, colds, COVID-19, and other respiratory illnesses. 

Here are some essential symptoms to watch for: 

• Runny or stuffy nose 
• Sore throat 
• Cough and congestion 
• Body aches and sneezing 
• Fever, headache, severe fatigue 
• Vomiting and diarrhoea 

If your child gets sick: 

• Please keep them at home and consult your healthcare provider for advice and treatment. 
• Monitor their health closely and seek medical attention if symptoms worsen or you have concerns.

A big thank you to all parents and carers who have already participated in the NSW Public Schools Parent Survey. Your feedback is incredibly valuable. If you haven’t yet had a chance to complete it, the survey remains open for the rest of Term 2.

This survey provides an excellent opportunity for you to share your experiences regarding communication, inclusion, wellbeing, and how your child’s learning is supported at Meadowbank Public School. Your insights help us identify what’s working well and guide improvements to better serve our school community.
