Secondary 11/12
Term 2
Secondary 11/12 students have enjoyed a busy and rewarding semester, completing their integrated unit projects, progressing through their VET courses, and developing valuable skills through the Work Related Skills Program.
Year 11 students have commenced Presentation Ball Preparation. We had an afternoon of dress selections from our extensive collection, suits have been selected, vest colours voted on and measurements taken. The students have done a fantastic job with the dance practices thus far. It's going to be an amazing night! Please don't forget to buy your tickets to the upcoming event by July 31st at the front office.
The students have also been working hard on their Personal Development unit, Social issues. This has been a great opportunity for students to work in small groups to research an issue that's important to them. They will finalise this unit this week completing a presentation to report on their findings and identify ways they can make a change to their peers.
Year 12 students have been working hard on their Life Hacks and Savvy Savings unit as part of their Integrated Unit. The unit began by students working hard on planning and executing the Ready Steady Cook Challenge for the Principal Team. They did a fantastic job of researching and planning for the event. The students received feedback on their team work, organisation, communication and meal preparation skills. The Principal Team voted on the best meal of the day. Students transferred these skills throughout the remainder of the term and explored a life hack and why it was beneficial for them post school. Students presented their completed life hack to their classes.
