First Day of School
After the Smoking Ceremony, our Year 12s got settled in familiarising themselves with their new lockers and the expectations for their final year ahead. They finished off the day enjoying a couple snags outside in the sunny weather and chatting with some of our new Year 7s.

Year 12 Formal
The Year 12 Formal is set to take place this Friday 13th February at The Grand on Princes. We can't wait to bring this annual tradition to the Class of 2026 and we hope it exceeds expectations. Doors open at 6pm, so bring your dancing shoes and get ready to boogey the night away!
Marshmallow Challenge Brings Business Foundations to Life
Students studying VCE Business Management Unit 3 recently put their understanding of business foundations into action through the well-known Marshmallow Challenge.
Working in teams, students were provided with spaghetti, tape and string and asked to build the tallest free-standing structure within a tight time frame, finishing with the marshmallow on top. While the task appeared straightforward, it quickly highlighted the realities faced by businesses when planning, organising resources and working under pressure.
The challenge created an authentic way for students to explore key knowledge from Area of Study 1, including the importance of effective management, clear communication, leadership, and the efficient use of limited resources. Teams that succeeded were those who tested ideas, adapted their approach and responded to risk rather than relying on a single plan.
Beyond the fun (and a few collapsing towers), students gained valuable insight into how collaboration, innovation and ongoing evaluation are essential to building a successful business.
Well done to our aspiring business leaders for the energy and teamwork they demonstrated.
