Three Tiny New Arrivals Cause a Stir!

There was great excitement at school yesterday with the arrival of three newly hatched Spur-winged Plovers (Masked Lapwings). Our latest feathered family had chosen a rather unusual nesting site, laying their eggs on the school roof. Once the chicks hatched, they made their way down to ground level.

As a school community, we have an opportunity to practise coexisting with local wildlife. We ask students to give the family plenty of space, as Masked Lapwings are known to be highly protective of their young. With a little patience and respect, we can help keep these special visitors safe. We look forward to seeing how much the chicks have grown when we return after the holidays.

nForma Connect App

It has come to our attention that some families are not yet using the nForma Connect app. We encourage all families to download and activate the app at their earliest convenience, as this is our primary platform for sharing school communications, notices, reminders and important updates. There is also a school calendar within nForma Connect that is updated regularly with upcoming events and important dates. We encourage families to check the calendar regularly to stay informed. Most dates for Term 4 have already been populated. On occasion dates and times of events change, so please check the calendar for the latest information.

Grandparents' Day - Save the Date

A special date for next term is Grandparents' Day, which will be held in Week 3 on Friday 23 October from 9:00am to 10:00am. More details will be shared early next term, but we encourage families to let grandparents know now and add the date to their calendars before they start to fill up!

As we head into the holidays, I would like to wish all of our students and families a safe, relaxing and happy break. We look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for another great term. And finally, if your team is still in the finals, good luck! We hope you enjoy cheering them on over the holiday period.
