Prep News

Hello Prep Families,
Week 9 flew by, full of fun runs, planning days and lots of learning!
Literacy
This week in our literacy lessons, we met Milo’s friends, Daisy the dog and Gabby the goat. We identified the first sound in Daisy’s name as /d/ and the first sound in Gabby’s name as /g/.
Maths
We have continued investigating time in maths this week. We spent time sequencing events in the week, guided by the books ‘ The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and ‘Dinosaur Days’. Why not create your own weekly timetable with your child so they can build on their sequencing skills?
The Fun Run
Well done to all our preps who ran an impressive 500 metres on Wednesday! A big thank-you as well to Amanda, Azra, Kwangil, Kaylie, Joel and Melissa, our parent helpers! Your support helps make these events possible, and I know the students loved having you there.
Inquiry
To celebrate the end of our first term and our inquiry unit, we are having a teddy bear picnic next week!
Friendly reminders
- Our Teddy Bear Picnic is next Wednesday
- Our Easter Hat parade and FINAL day of school will be next Thursday, the 2nd of April
- Readers and homework are due on Fridays.
Warm regards,
Felicity Jenkins
