Report from the Deputy Principal
Dear Parents, Guardians and Father Arsenio,
It was wonderful to share the occasion of our year 6 students Confirmation last week. The location of St Patrick's Cathedral lends itself to the spectacle and seriousness of this sacrament in particular. I appreciate the attendance of staff and the many family members who made the trip. It really is a highlight to watch our students undertake this stage of their faith journey as a pathway to adulthood.
Enrolments for next year are well and truly underway. We currently have 80 applicants for next year and another 33 new families booked in to still look at our school. If you are an existing family that has not already enrolled, please do so asap. I am aiming to finalise numbers early next term so if you are aware of any one else keen please advise them to move quickly.
Sherridan Leeson, our bursar, will be starting family leave in week 2 of next term. I would like to take this opportunity to wish her well on behalf of all of our community. I have employed Rachel Munn to replace her.
As you may be aware the school is turning 50. This milestone is to be recognised on the weekend of May 22-24. The key event is the formal at 'The Farm' Tickets are on sale now.
Easter is upon us yet again. The three key points of Lent (Prayer, fasting and almsgiving) have all been explored and implemented over the past few weeks. This included last Friday's 'Water Walk' as well as the Holy Week prayer services this week. Thank you for coming.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all in our community well for the upcoming break. I hope you have a happy, safe and holy Easter and enjoy a little down time. See you all next term.
Have a great holiday break,
Duncan
