Principal's message

Dear Parents and Caregivers,
As Term 1 concludes, I would like to acknowledge the outstanding efforts and achievements of our Clovelly Park Primary School community. This term has been filled with collaboration, commitment, and a genuine sense of belonging, with parents, students and staff working together to support each child’s growth and wellbeing.
Our dedicated staff consistently advocate for every student. Much of their work occurs behind the scenes and cannot be fully captured here, but I would like to highlight just some of their key responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and individualised lessons
- Providing academic and emotional support as needed
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and welcoming school environment
- Regularly communicating with families about progress and wellbeing
- Collaborating across our three sub-schools: Intensive English Language Program, Special Options, and Mainstream
- Supporting students as they build friendships and resilience
- Implementing innovative technology and resources
- Creating opportunities for student leadership
Ensuring safe and inclusive play spaces
This term, students participated in valuable assessment processes such as the DIBELS tests, NAPLAN for Years 3 and 5, and the Year 1 Numeracy Screener. These assessments help us monitor progress and refine our teaching to best support every learner.
Additional highlights include Choir, Acquaintance Night, Harmony Week, active parent engagement through the Governing Council, as well as ongoing efforts to enhance school facilities, resources, and wellbeing programs. On the 2nd April, we were pleased to celebrate Autism Awareness Day, reaffirming our commitment to respect, understanding, and inclusion.
As the holiday break approaches, I wish all families a safe, restful, and enjoyable time.
Thank you for your ongoing support and for making Clovelly Park Primary such a vibrant and caring community.
Kind regards,
Kylie Tuckey
